About the role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced power electronic systems and components. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will play a key role in driving innovation, solving complex technical challenges, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of power electronics principles, extensive hands-on experience in product development, and a track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
About you:
- Experience in designing power electronics (dc-dc or ac-dc converters, dc-ac inverters) from simulation and design to troubleshooting and verification using any of the following: IGBTs, Si or SiC MOSFETs, or GaN HEMTs.
- Experience with design of magnetic components (inductors or transformers)
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant Engineering or Physics based discipline (PhD counts as experience)
- Demonstrated skills of using SPICE tools (e.g. LTSpice, SIMetrix) and system simulation tools (e.g. PLECS, Simulink/Simscape)
- Demonstrated understanding of Finite Element Analysis and making use of outputs to make technical decisions
- Good communicator with ability to work cross functionally in a collaborative manner as required to support the R&D activities and program delivery.
