About the Job:
The Commercial Director, Americas, will play a pivotal roles in the continued growth and expansion of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) team in North America and LATAM. This role involves overseeing competitive bid processes, negotiating contracts with stakeholders, conducting cost analyses, and driving strategic product decisions for projects of varying scope and complexity. Additionally, the director will lead and mention the North American and LATAM – based Commercial and Contract Management team to support the organizations regional objectives.
- You’ll be responsible owning and leading competitive bid processes for North American and LATAM projects, analysing the commercial and legal aspects of customer RFPs to create competitive submissions as well as develop strategic RFP requirements for subcontractors, evaluate big results and conduct in depth analysis to support procurement decisions.
- You’ll collaborate with the supply chain to capture competitive intelligence and provide insights to the evolving BESS landscape.
- Lead contract negotiations with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers for equipment, services, and EPC contracts.
- You’ll work closely with the Business Development team to plan and execute regional growth strategies and contracting initiatives whilst supporting organisational goals by coaching and mentoring the North American and LATAM-based Commercial and Contract Management team.
About You:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Management, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Proven experience in commercial contract negotiation and RFP management within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in analysing and responding to complex RFP requirements.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to align internal and external stakeholders during decision making processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple, ,complex activities simultaneously while maintaining both a high level of detail and strategic oversight.
- Confident communicator with experience presenting to executive level.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively during key negotiation periods.
