About the Job:
As the Service Director, you will lead the company expanding service team in North America, managing operations across multiple regions including California, Texas, Ontrario and Nova Scotia. You will be responsible for overseeing commissioning activities and long-term service agreements for renewable energy projects, ensuring optimal performance, reliability and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies, while maintaining quality standards and corrective actions.
- Oversee regional service operations, including budgeting, resource management, and capital/operational expenditure planning.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, maintenance procedures, and KPIs to meet contractual obligations and optimize efficiency.
- Manage LTSA negotiations, subcontractor agreements, and key business relationships in collaboration with commercial and legal teams.
- Utilize CMMS to track maintenance plans, work orders, spare parts, and warranties, ensuring operational readiness.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance analysis, supporting regional teams and senior management with reports and strategic insights.
About You:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or Business with preferred knowledge of PCS, SCADA, HV/MV Power Systems and BESS.
- Minimum 5 years experience in renewable energy service and commissioning, with expertise in electrical systems, controls and power generation.
- At least 3 years of management experience in a service-related role, with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team, flexibility for non-standard hours and a valid driving licence with a clean record.
