Job Title - Electrical Engineer
Location & flexibility - Oxfordshire, hybrid working (2/3 days onsite)
Salary & Benefits - £50,000 - £65,000 + discretionary bonus
About the Job -
- Specification, design, and commissioning of electrical and electronic systems.
- Authoring design documentation, as well as commissioning and operating manuals.
- Authoring risk assessments and installation method statements for projects.
- Liaising with engineers and scientists responsible for ST40 systems including cooling, vacuum, gas, diagnostics and controls.
- Fulfilling the operational roles of Power Supply Engineer and ST40 Operator.
- Internally the post holder will communicate with the Head of Electrical Engineering, and other engineers working within the Company.
- Externally the post holder will be responsible for the management of electrical and electronic engineering manufacturing contracts, and will therefore liaise with manufacturers and component suppliers.
About you -
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in electrical or electronic engineering.
- Ability to author and edit and interpret electrical drawings or AutoCAD or equivalent.
- Experience in the design, specification, commissioning and operation of industrial electrical and electronic systems.
- Familiarity with industrial control, including discrete controllers and centralised control systems.
- Familiarity with PLCs and fieldbus communication.
- Experience with mains power distribution.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, including knowledge and understanding of the application of BS 7671.
