Job Title – Health & Safety Officer    
 
Their Purpose – A growing business specialising within commercial solar pv installations across the UK from small sizes up to utility scale multi-megawatts. Providing a full turnkey solution including maintenance and optimisation, consulting and energy storage batteries on a large scale they are rapidly growing with a turnover of £5m.
 
Location &, flexibility – Office based, operating predominantly throughout the Southwest.

Salary & Benefits – Up to £60k, 28 days holiday + 3 extra Christmas days, Private healthcare, Training and development.
 
About the Job:

You will hold a pivotal role encompassing environmental, health and safety management for the business. You will focus on working with the operations teams to provide health and safety to the company by enhancing current systems and drive improvements. You will be responsible for all measurement, management and implementation of health, safety and environmental policies.
 

  • You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust health, safety and environment management systems including ISO14001, 1SO5001 and ISO9001.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant UK legislation, including site construction regulations, waste management and COSHH.
  • Responsible for developing effective policies, procedures and training packages to ensure compliance and promote a strong health and safety culture.
  • Review and conduct risk assessments, design strategies to minimise hazards and generate SSOW based on findings.
  • Work closely to support the MD with occupational health issues as well ensuring the successful implementation of the Health and safety strategy.

About you:
 
  • Experience with Health and Safety management experience within the renewables industry, in particular Solar.
  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and internally auditing safety management systems based on legislation and ISO 45001, 14001
  • Experience with development, management and audit of health and safety management systems.
  • Full driving licence.
