About the Job –
This is a production leadership role focused on developing and improving production structures to manage day-to-day activities across the manufacturing sector. The production leader will be responsible for shaping processes to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Lead the day-to-day running of the MBU production cell, understanding the pulse of the unit and removing blockers to allow specialist manufacturing technicians to focus on maximising the quality and pace of the output.
- Lead the implementation of process changes in ways of working to support the delivery of projects/products to internal and external customers against time, quality and cost.
- Ensure each manufacturing task is suitably resources with appropriately skilled personnel, materials and appropriately configured equipment.
- Support with the cultural change from the R&D focused operation to a product-to-customer mindset.
- Appropriate experience and proven track record of leading manufacturing cells in bespoke technology activities.
- A demonstrated track record of operating a well organised, delivery and customer focused manufacturing cell.
- A good understanding of process development, IT tools and wider business governance and supporting process.
- A broad understanding of manufacturing engineering, process development and tooling development would be beneficial.
