About the Job:
As a Commercial Solar Project Manager with a leading renewable energy provider, you will oversee the full project life cycle for large-scale commercial solar projects up to 40MW across the country. This role requires strong electrical background and commercial solar project experience. From inception to completion, you will ensure projects are planned, executed, and delivered on time, within the scope and budget. You’ll coordinate teams, manage client relationships, and uphold quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for overseeing the entire life cycle of commercial solar projects – from initial client consultation through to final handover.
- You will be required to design and create project plans, this will include resource allocation, scope, and making sure client and company expectations are met.
- You will have to co-ordinate multidisciplinary teams, which will include, engineers, subcontractors, electricians and installers.
- Generate regular project reports, ensuring clear communication between internal teams and external partners.
- You must be willing to travel to various sites across the county, with the potential for overnight stays.
- Minimum 3 years proven experience in project management of large-scale ground mount and roof top commercial solar.
- Strong experience with managing full life cycle of projects from inception to completion.
- Strong experience co-ordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate well with our customers and colleagues.
- Strong electrical knowledge and background is a necessity.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
