Salary & Benefits – €40,000 - €60,000 DOE + Company Vehicle + Pension Contributions
About the Job:
Reporting to the senior engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and troubleshooting metering, communications faults, or underperforming systems related to Solar PV and communication systems in schools across Germany.
- You will perform initial site visits and pre-install visits with third-party installation companies before construction of new projects.
- Responsible for documenting, diagnosing, and troubleshooting issues, as well as rectifying problems on-site.
- Review and document previous issues to improve the robustness of existing and future systems, and help shape the technology choices for better system performance.
- Collaborate with the internal software development team to drive improvements in asset management tools, automate procedures, and enhance diagnostics.
- Qualified electrician with hands-on experience in installing electrical wiring, metering, and other electrical equipment.
- German electrical qualifications (e.g., Elektromeister or equivalent).
- Health & Safety certification, including working at height.
- Excellent experience with communications equipment, including setting up and debugging routers (e.g., GSM modems, Modbus meters).
- Ability to work unsupervised in schools (Schufa clearance or similar certifiable background check may be required).
- Comfortable presenting to or teaching students about solar energy, sustainability, carbon literacy, and climate change.
- Full German driving licence.
