About the Job:

As the Technical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, managing and delivering solar installation projects, ensuring their technical and operational success. This position involves overseeing project timelines, tendering processes, and regulatory compliance while leveraging expertise in Solar PV. You will lead a technical team, coordinate with stakeholders such as schools and municipalities, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.  

 
  • You will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans and timelines for solar installation projects as well as coordinating and managing tendering processes in partnership with stakeholders such as schools and municipalities.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate PV systems for various applications and oversee the installation, commissioning and quality assurance of solar solutions.
  • Responsible for conducting feasibility studies to assess the technical viability of new projects and identify potential risks as well as lead, manage and mentor the technical team responsible for maintenance, repairs and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including municipalities, schools, and funding bodies, to align project objectives and maintain clear communication channels and report regularly to the leadership team on project status, challenges, and key milestones.

About you:
  • Proven experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly with solar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering processes, technical standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and organize a technical workforce.
  • Proficient in project management tools, methodologies and reporting systems.
  • Full driving licence with flexibility and willingness to travel for on-site project management as required.
